Welcome to the second part of my "Wedding Weekend" outfit compilation! The second day of the wedding also included the henna celebration. In some traditions, the guests are supposed to wear a green color that is similar to that of henna leaves. Thus, I chose this occasion to wear a green and gold gharara. The gharara is a traditional garment originating from the Uttar Pradesh, region of India where my family is from, and consists of a veil, tunic, and silk brocade wide-legged pants that are flared from the knee. I didn't want to interfere with the two-color system of the outfit, so I matched all of my jewelry with the green and gold by wearing gold rings, and a combination of green and gold bangles. In the first picture, you can also see a long chain necklace with green detailing that drapes in the same motion as my scarf. The scarf that came with this gharara is scattered with gold embroidery and features a fringed gold trim that I really wanted to showcase since the tunic is so simple. I draped the veil over my head, leaving tons of material both in the back and front so that it was one of the most present items in my outfit, but without competing for attention from the pants. One of my favorite items that I was able to incorporate here was this gold "halo" crown from Love Culture that wraps around my head and is really easy to wear with a hijab. My makeup for that night focused on the eyes with winged eyeliner, glimmering green eyeshadow, and a nude lipstick. Details:
