An essential part of the two month wait that comes between submitting your last few college applications and receiving your admissions decision emails is scouring Pinterest for ways to decorate your future dorm room. This cheap and simple DIY is perfect to both make a statement and also keep yourself busy during those impatiently dreadful weeks.
4. Last but not least, tie a piece of yarn to either end of the dowel so that you can hang it easily. I took three pieces and braided them together for a some more texture.

Lately, I've been really busy with college apps and everything else that senior year has thrown at me. I needed a quick craft to get me back to my creative roots, and mood boards fit the bill. Mood boards are a great way to express yourself by arranging pictures of things that represent you or a certain theme you want to focus on. Mine is based around fashion, specifically my own style with a lot of colors and patterns.
Once you have your pictures down, arrange them around the construction paper with the idea of having balance. I spaced out my four main pictures (the blogger outfits) and the four phrases, as well as the colors of the overall piece. I arranged the accessories so that they would be either worn together or at least with the outfit that they're next to. You should also try to think about which pictures go on top of each other and which go on the bottom. When you have it all arranged, remove them one at a time to glue them down. This is my final product! I keep it in my locker so that I get to see it everyday. I hope you enjoyed this little DIY and if you end up making your own mood board, I'd love to see how yours turns out!
I keep my memory jar in my locker. At the end of each day, I write down my best memory from that day or just something that made it good. This habit helps me focus on the positive things in my life instead of dwelling on the negative. Especially at school, it's easy to get caught up in all the mistakes and criticisms, but this lets me enjoy my senior year as much as I would like to.
