This is the story of my blush pink Steve Madden large handbag. It has gold hardware, closes with a magnetic snap button, and has a detachable longer strap along with the two short handles. Before the beginning of this school year, I was looking for a cross-body messenger bag that I could use for school. I found some cute ones that I liked, but this one really caught my eye. The issue with choosing a school bag is finding a color that can be worn every day. It may not be a neutral color, but pink can still go with a multiplicity of outfits or add a pop of color to an outfit where there was none. The light color can be easily marked, so I like to wipe off any spots with a damp paper towel every time one pops up just to maintain the bag. Another part of the appearance I love is how the shine and simplicity of the material give some luxury to my day. As far as the utility of the bag goes, the pockets and large main compartment are perfect for being a home to my books, planner, and assorted arrangement of school supplies. I am one of those people who feels the need to be prepared for every situation of the day. Back when I was still sticking to backpacks, I would stuff as many supplies as I could into my backpack. This bag has taught me to choose which things I really use during an average day, and keep the rest in my locker. Be that as it may, I can still keep my favorite mini stapler with me. Although the button closes perfectly over a folder, I wish there was something that closed off the entire bag rather than one central button. This handbag is one of the most important items in my closet. As my constant companion throughout the day, this bag complements and completes my look. Suffering through the tests and projects is a little bit less dreadful with this piece of pink sweetness by my side all day. It fulfills the qualities of needing to be functional, yet adaptable and style savvy. Photography by Karen Kaur
