In my four years of wearing hijab, I have found that layering is the quickest path to finding yourself in a modest outfit. If your clothes are feeling tight or a little too short, an outer layer can create a comforting coverage that conceals shape and adds dimension to your outfit.

One of the most obvious things that people notice about my style is that I wear a multitude of colors in a single outfit, something that can often seem difficult to accomplish. But spring is a season deserving of color, so you can try this simple way of adding more color to your wardrobe: wear only neutral pieces, and then add one statement color item.
For this week's outfit, I wanted to highlight this awesome dress-like long vest. It pairs with an Indian shalwar kameez outfit, but I prefer wearing it as its own piece. The vest includes a band collar at the top, arabesque patterns, and wooden beads that stop a third of the way down. The top section is straight, and then the segments flare out in a way that creates great movement when walking.
