![]() Khanfession #1: I miss spring break. After one week of binge-watching 30 Rock and spending some quality bonding time with our rabbit, Momo, I have been forced to return to the world of orange lockers and daily testing. Since I couldn't keep the "break" part, I decided to keep the "spring" part in my first outfit of 4th quarter. The concept of florals for spring has been memorialized by Miranda Priestley's comment ("Florals? For spring? Groundbreaking.") in The Devil Wears Prada. The trend might seem overrated, but there is no way you can separate me from my love for florals. Trust me, you can probably find Insha Khan wearing florals while its raining. There is no stopping our love affair. My floral choice for the day was this flowy and loose short-sleeved top with large watercolor-like print. I got it from my first trip to my local Plato's Closet. After managing to snag cute pieces like this one for great prices, I know I will definitely be back there when I need new additions to my wardrobe. For my hijab of the day, I chose a dark purple scarf that is lined with eyelet lace. It goes with the darker aspects of this top, but still adds some color. I wrapped it so that the necklace was visible and left the rest hanging on the side. An outfit is never complete without a few accessories, so I added this really pretty icy-gray, floral necklace that paired well with the lighter colors from the top and also complemented the coloring of the scarf. Lastly, I made a statement with these coral colored pants that really popped the brighter colored flowers from the top and I finished the outfit with just some simple black flats. Details:
