For the color theme of this outfit, I worked off of the pattern of this pom-pom scarf and divided up the colors into their own items to make blocks of color. I put the darkest colors on the top on bottom with the navy blue blazer and black leggings. The brightest color was in the smallest portion with a beaded blue crop top, and the white skirt remained the most prominent block of color. The crocheted lace has a very airy feel and keeps the outfit feeling very open even though I'm wearing a lot of pieces. The black block of my outfit was cutting my legs short so I extended it with black gladiator sandals that come up higher on my ankles. The lace-up sandal trend is very fitting with the look I was going for and is one of the few open-toe situations I am comfortable with. Altogether, this outfit showed me a great system for coordinating colors. Photography by Insha Khan
